Project Detour Driver Intervention Program

Project Detour is a 72-hour, residential, state-certified driver intervention program for individuals, 18 years and older, with a first-time OVI offense (operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs). The program is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. 

 

The program consists of large and small group education, an individual substance abuse screening, and presentations of state-required program topics by licensed counselors and certified prevention specialists.

The program is held monthly at Motel 6, 9371 State Route 14, in Streetsboro, Ohio. The program runs from Thursday at 6:00 p.m. through Sunday at 6:00 p.m.

 

The program costs $350* and includes the following:

  • Double room occupancy

  • Meals at scheduled times throughout the weekend

 

*Note: The cost for a single, private room is an additional $150.

 

Payment can be made via cash, money order, cashier's check, or credit card*. No personal checks will be accepted. All fees are non-refundable. If you are receiving state funds such as Medicaid, SSDI, TANF, or SSI, financial assistance may be available.

*Note: There is an additional 3.5% charge if paying by credit card.
