What is Horizon House? 

A Women’s Halfway House Specializing in individualized alcohol and drug treatment for pregnant women, women with children, women of childbearing age and other women who meet the level of care.  Horizon House offers women a comprehensive program, which includes:

♀ Alcohol/drug treatment

♀ Safe housing

♀ Individual counseling

♀ Parenting classes

♀ Anger management

♀ Medical care

♀ Nutritional assessment

♀ Transportation to appointments

♀ Introduction to 12-step programs

♀ HIV/AIDS education

♀ Job seeking skills classes

♀ GED tutoring

♀ Family education and groups

♀ Relapse Prevention Planning

♀ Referrals to other needed services

Admission Criteria

• Female 18 years of age or older

• Clean and sober for 72 hours

• Completed assessment at Townhall II and have followed through with your counselor’s recommendations

• Completed a physical and TB test

• Willing to submit to random urine drug screens

• Willing to participate in the program for a minimum of 90 days

• Medications must be stable (if applicable)
